  1. I have tinnitus and recently diagnosed with sleep apnea although I've had it for years. The problem is I'm a Vietnam era veteran been out of military near 50 years. Does it pay for someone like me to file a claim for sleep apnea at this late date

  2. I listen to Brian’s videos on YouTube they are great and he is definitely the right person to contact about claims because his staff some who are veterans themselves have first hand knowledge about VA claims. I just want to add something very important that few people talk about and that is the VA re evacuations. The VA can take a combined rating and reduce the lesser serious injuries to 0%. Let’s say your service connected leg swells up from commuting 4 hours a day and stiffens your left ankle (edema) joints, but the day you are seen by a VA Doctor for evaluation he looks at it and says it’s fine, well he/she can reduce your claim. The best way to ensure a lifetime of VA disability is TDIU or PT for example sleep apnea, ED, Varicose veins secondary to hypertension using a CPAP and continuous meds because that is permanente. I don’t usually get a response but I would like to hear from you.

  3. I've struggled with PTSD and finally have a diagnosis. I also have OSA currently diagnosed. Which should I attempt to service connect? I did not have OSA diagnosis while I was on active duty.

  4. I'm already rated at 100% for PTSD and 10% for Tinnitus, but I'm still trying to get a rating for my Sleep Apnea as a secondary condition caused by my PTSD. The VA already determined that I have Sleep Apnea and issued me a CPAP machine, but said that there is nothing that ties it to my PTSD. I'm going to submit everything myself, but would like to have you write me a letter. Is there anyway for me to contact you to discuss this more, because I know your rates are based off percentage (monthly compensation) increase but l'm already at 100% and my monthly compensation will not increase anymore. Thank you.

  5. I need help if my appeal get denied for major obstruction sleep apnea secondary to service connected anxiety which i was hospitalized for in Saudia….I currently have a 60% rating.
How do i contact you…its been 13 months…no answer from appeal….Need to start nexus support letter in case denied again…All my conditions are well documented. I been using CPAP machine for 3 years.

    Tks

  6. I've been listening to you(Leah) today so far. Just trying to stay mentally sharp on all this information. And you are top-notch girl! Truly a wealth of information. Thank you for your expertise and all you do for VCIE.

  7. I WILL BE USING IN THE FUTURE. THE VA HAS ME DIAGNOSED WITH COPD AND ASTHMA. I HAVE HAD MANY DOCTORS TELL IT IS UNUSUAL TO GET AS YOU GET OLDER. DONOT SMOKE. I AM ALSO CLASIFIED AS A CAMP LEJEUNE MARINE BY THE VA FROM THE CONTAMINATED WATER ISSUE.  MY PTSD PYSCHOLOGISTS HAS BEEN PRESSING TO APPLY FOR SLEEP APENA.

  8. I was lucky to have the ex wife write the letter well documenting my observed issues . Then non service sleep studies over 10 years medical records reflecting sleep issues and two nexus letters. Still denied and went to appeal referred back to RO last May as the VA never conducted any C&P exam over the last 7 years. Also 5 years of well documented use of the CPAP with medical reviews letter also letter remarking must utilize CPAP everyday for sleeping and medically needs CPAP for condition.
